Dr Margaret Cawkwell is a family physician who throughout her 30 years in family medicine has had a strong love for and expertise in women’s health, maternity and child health. She has recently decided to concentrate that expertise, her energy and skills in these areas for the next phase of her career.  

Dr. Cawkwell believes in patient centered/family centered care, based on the principles of shared decision making consistent with the woman’s values and needs.  

To that end, Dr Cawkwell has been a strong proponent of the need for up to date continuing medical education to be able to provide her patients with current evidence based medical information, allowing her patients to be well informed to make the best decisions for their health and that of their families.
